They belong to the rose family, which is why their fragrance is so romantic.
A strawberry plant can continue producing fruit for up to 3 years if well cared for.
Culinary & DIY Uses
Strawberries are delicious in every form — fresh, frozen, juiced, or baked!
At Samruddhi Orchards, we love using them for:
- Milkshakes, smoothies & yoghurt bowls.
- Fresh toppings for cakes and pancakes.
- Homemade jams & preserves.
- Fruit salads and chocolate-dipped treats.
- For DIY beauty lovers, mashed strawberries make a refreshing natural face mask, helping exfoliate and brighten skin.
Sustainability & Farm Use
We compost fallen or overripe strawberries to enrich the soil, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Their leaves can also be dried and brewed into a mild herbal tea, believed to support digestion and immunity — a delicious zero-waste ritual!
Medicinal Benefits
Strawberries are rich in Vitamin C, manganese, antioxidants, and fiber, making them great for immunity, skin glow, heart health, and digestion.
They also help reduce inflammation and balance blood sugar levels — proof that good health really does taste sweet!
Fruiting Timeline
Strawberry plants usually flower during winter to early spring, and fruits are ready to harvest within 60–90 days of planting. In cooler months, they produce the sweetest berries, and with proper care, multiple flushes can be harvested each season.
A Note from Samruddhi Orchards, As we’ve recently begun growing strawberries at Samruddhi Orchards, the journey has been full of learning and discovery. The first time they flowered, it felt like witnessing tiny celebrations on each plant. And when the first fruits ripened — bright, juicy, and incredibly flavourful — it was pure joy.
We’re excited to nurture this patch with even more love and expand it in the coming seasons, so our guests can enjoy many more sweet moments straight from the soil.
